Trades at Sqwá First Nation
Providing Everything You Need for a Rewarding Career

Service Name
Band Hall Expansion Project
Our Carpentry Foundation students—and later, our Residential Building Maintenance students—played a key role in the two‑story commercial expansion of the Sqwá First Nation Band Hall.
This hands-on project was made possible through the support of Sqwá First Nation and the Sqwá Adult Education Centre. Students gained real-world trade skills and on‑site experience while contributing to a meaningful community project. Through this partnership, learners not only advanced toward their career goals, but also gave back to their Nation in a lasting and impactful way.

We are proud to support learners as they build futures grounded in confidence, capability, and community.

Upcoming Projects
Our current Carpentry Foundation cohort will begin a new project in 2026: the construction of a new canoe shed for the Nation. This initiative will give students another opportunity to apply their skills in a real‑world setting while supporting a project that holds cultural and community significance.
